Capture the Ride
Newbury Velo is a diverse club covering a range of disciplines for all ages. The club plays hosts to a number of competitive and non-competitive events throughout the year and is lucky enough to have keen photographers and participants capturing these events on camera.
To make these images available to competitors and participants, we have created this site as a gallery to enable downloading or showcasing of images on behalf of the club. This site is run by club members, but not the club itself.
Regular event photographers Gareth Davies and David Hill have complied these galleries to bring club event photos into one place.
The Photographers
Gareth is a Health and Safety Director in the day job, outside of which he can usually be found watching rugby; or on two wheels, with or without an engine.
By day David manages a large rural estate for a local charitable trust and photography is a side-hustle of his. He can't remember whether he started cycling or photography first as a kid, but has always been fairly average at both!
Safeguarding Policy
Except where expressly given permission, photographs are only taken of participants in the course of competition or the event at which we are taking photographs, with express consent or by request of the organisers.
If you have concerned or wish for any photos of your or those under your responsibility to be taken down or removed, please get in touch and these will be deleted permanently.
The photographers carry DBS background checks and these can be provided on request.
